The Minimum Wages in Uttarakhand have been revised with effect from October 1, 2023 as per a notification dated September 26, 2023 issued by the Labour Commissioner, Haldwani.
As per the notification, the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) component of the minimum wages has been increased to ₹1700 per month for the 57 scheduled employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
This upward revision in VDA is based on the increased Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers from January 2023 to June 2023. The revised VDA will be applicable for minimum wages in Uttarakhand effective October 1, 2023.
