Minimum Wages in Uttar Pradesh have been revised by the Uttar Pradesh Labour Commissioner Organisation Department. The minimum wages have been revised for Shops and Establishments, Bidi Industry, Kaleen Industry, Glass Bangle Industry and Hotel and Restaurant Industry. The new revised rate of minimum wages will be applicable from 01 April 2023. An official notification has been issued by Mr. Ajay Kumar Mishra, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh. Revised Minimum Wages for Shops and Establishments in Uttar Pradesh From 01 April 2023
The minimum wages for the Shops and Establishments in Uttar Pradesh have been revised with effect from 01 April 2023. The workers who are working in Shops or Establishments in Uttar Pradesh are eligible to get wages at the increased rate w.e.f. 01 April 2023.
According to the official notification dated 03 April 2023, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been revised from 01 April 2023 on the basis of the increased Consumer Price Index (July 2022 to December 2022).
This increased VDA will be applicable to all 74 Scheduled Employments under Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

The minimum wages for Bidi Industry in Uttar Pradesh have been revised effective from 01 April 2023. An official notification dated 03 April 2023 was issued regarding this. As per the notification Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been revised on the basis of increased CPI (July 2022 to December 2022) for the workers employed in Bidi Industry which will be effective from 01 April 2023.

The minimum wages for Glass Bangle Industry in Uttar Pradesh have been revised with effect from 01 April 2023. A notification was issued by the Labour Department, Uttar Pradesh regarding the increased Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA).
