Working Hours for Shops & Establishments – Punjab		Source
Normal Working Hours	9 hours in any one day and 48 hours in any one week.	Section 7 and 8 of “The Punjab Shops And Commercial Establishments Act, 1958”
Interval For Rest	After 5 hours of work, the interval of rest of at least half an hour.
Maximum Over Time Hours	50 hours in any one quarter.
Spread over Hours	10 hours in a day.
Rate of OT Wages	Twice the rate of normal wages calculated by the hour.
