General Administration Department, Uttarakhand Government has declared Public Holidays, Restricted Holidays and Bank Holidays in Uttarakhand for the Year 2023.

A notification has been issued on 26/12/2022 by Secretary Shri Vinod Kumar Suman by the order of the Governor of Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand Public Holidays List 2023

The holidays mentioned below in Annexure-1 are declared Public Holidays in the entire Uttarakhand state for the year 2023.

Uttarakhand Secretariat/Vidhan Sabha and the offices in which a five-day week is applicable, the public holidays declared in Annexure-2 will not be applicable in the Secretariat/Vidhan Sabha, but these holidays are now included in the list of restricted holidays, considering them as restricted holidays. As per the rules, to the extent permissible for taking such holidays.

Mr. Governor declares the holidays specified in the following schedule as Public Holidays in the entire Uttarakhand state in the year 2023.

Note

  • * Marked festivals will be celebrated according to the local moon sighting. If there is a change in the date of any festival on the basis of a moon sighting, then it will automatically change on the basis of moon sighting. No separate formal order will be required in the said leave. It will automatically be treated as an order.
  • Public holidays declared by Annexure-1 will not be applicable in Banks / Treasuries / Sub Treasuries.

Uttarakhand Restricted Holidays List 2023

Each employee shall be eligible to avail maximum of 2 (Two) Restricted Holidays mentioned in Annexure-3 as per his/her wish.

The holidays mentioned in Annexure-4 below will be treated as public holidays for the Banks / Treasuries / Sub Treasuries for the Year 2023.
