Delhi Government Hikes Minimum Wages From October 2022

In view of Diwali, Minimum Wages in Delhi have been increased by the Delhi Government and the new rates will be applicable from 01 October 2022. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Manish Sisodia has given the confirmation regarding the hikes in Minimum Wages.

He further said that India had registered a surge in retail inflation. The hike in Minimum Wages will provide some relief to the workers during this inflation. This move will benefit Unskilled, Semi-Skilled, Skilled and Other Workers in all Scheduled Employment categories which come under the Delhi Government. This will also benefit those who are in Clerical and Supervisory jobs.

Mr. Sisodia also said that Delhi has the “Highest Minimum Wages” in comparison with other states.

The New Minimum Rates of Wages in Delhi from 01 October 2022 will be as follows :
