The Bihar Government has published the holiday schedule for Government Offices and Banks located in Bihar for the year 2024. Mr. Ghufran Ahmad, Deputy Secretary of Bihar, issued a notification on September 11, 2023, listing the Public and Restricted Holidays for Government Offices, as well as the Holiday Schedule for Banks in 2024.

  • The five-day working week system will remain in force in the secretariat departments and directorates under the state government.
  • Six-day working week system will continue to be applicable in regional offices (including offices of Divisional Commissioners, offices of Chief Engineers, etc.).
