The Competent Authority of Mizoram has declared the Public Holidays List of Mizoram for the Calendar Year 2023.
Mr. Navin Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, General Administration Department issued the Notification dated 03 August 2022 with Notification No. F.23012/1/2020-GAD regarding this.
Mizoram Public Holidays List 2023
The Notification states that the below declared Public Holidays List will be applicable to all Offices under the Government of Mizoram. All the Government Offices shall be closed on all Saturdays and Sundays.

Mizoram Restricted Holidays List 2023
Each employee may avail of any 2 (two) holidays chosen by him/her out of the list mentioned below.
Permission to avail of these holidays should be applied for in writing in advance and normally be granted by the superior officer competent to grant casual leave except when the presence of the individual employee is considered necessary in exigencies of Government work.

- In respect of medical establishments Government Hospitals, OPD, Dispensaries, Sub-Centres, etc. the working days and working hours shall be regulated by appropriate notification issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department.
- In respect of Police, Home Guards, Fire Services, etc. they shall be governed by their respective manual or appropriate notification issued by the Home Department.
