The Assam Government has made changes to the minimum wages in the state, starting from June 1, 2023. They announced this through an official notice (E-238621/409) dated December 5, 2023. The new rules state that the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) rates for different jobs will be increased by 100% of the All India General Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (base 2016=100).
From December 2022 to May 2023, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) went up by 2.4 points, which is a 1.83% increase compared to the average CPI from June 2022 to November 2022. This means that employees in Scheduled Employment will get a higher Variable Dearness Allowance, and these changes will be in effect from June 1, 2023.

Salary/Rates Calculation :
For the calculation of 1-day salary (Daily Rates), you have to divide the Total Per Month by 30.
