Haryana Minimum Wages Revised from January 2025 to June 2025

The Labour Department of Haryana has revised the minimum wage rates for the state, effective from 01 January 2025. This update was officially announced by the Labour Commissioner, Haryana, through a notification issued on 04 April 2025. The new wage structure applies to workers engaged in 50 Scheduled Employments and will remain in effect until 30 June 2025.

Biannual Revision Based on CPI

As per the established practice, Haryana revises its minimum wages twice a year—in January and July—based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers.

At the end of June 2024, the average CPI was 3326.60, which increased to 3438.50 by December 2024. This marks a rise of 111.90 points over six months.

In line with the methodology laid out under Section 5(2) of the Minimum Wages Notification dated 21 October 2015, this increase corresponds to a 3.36% hike in the basic wages for various categories of workers.

Revised Minimum Wages in Haryana from 01 January 2025

Based on this CPI adjustment, the revised minimum wages for workers engaged in the 50 Scheduled Employments in Haryana have been updated accordingly. These new rates are applicable from 01 January 2025.

Revised Minimum Wages in Haryana for Brick Kiln Industry From 01 January 2025

In line with the overall wage adjustment, the brick kiln industry in Haryana has also seen a 3.36% increase in the basic wages across all worker categories.

Accordingly, with effect from 01 January 2025, the updated minimum wage rates for various roles within the brick kiln sector are as follows:

Bharai Wala (Loading of bricks into Kiln)(a) ₹ 288.58 per 1000 bricks loaded in the Kiln provided the distance from the field to the kiln is upto 400 meters. Beyond this distance, an additional wage of ₹ 25.59 per 1000 bricks for every additional 100 meters or part thereof shall be paid. These rates will be applicable to the Donkey / Khachar loader only.
(b) ₹ 237.24 loading by the tempo, or any other Mechanical Driven vehicles is upto 1000 meters. Beyond this distance an additional wage of ₹ 25.59 for 1000 bricks for every additional 500 meters or part thereof shall be paid.
