The Government of Goa has declared the List of Public Holidays, Commercial & Industrial Holidays and Bank Holidays in Goa for the Year 2023.

Ms. Shaila G. Bhosle, Under (GA-I), Goa, issued a Notification dated 19 October 2022 vide Notice No. 37/3/2022/-GAD-III/3661 of declared Public Holidays in Goa for the Year 2023.

Note :

  1. Special Holiday “Mahashivratri” falls on Saturday as such request for Special Holiday on this day or in lieu of this does not arise.
  2. Special Holiday “Milad-Un-Nabi- (Id-e-Milad)* (Birthday of Prophet Md)” applied shall be necessarily sanctioned. In case where employees do not avail of the Special Holiday on the designated day, the holiday may be availed of any working day during the calendar year 2023.
  3. Special Holidays can be prefixed or suffixed to any kind of Leave.

Employees are permitted to avail of any two holidays from the list of Restricted Holidays specified below for the year 2023.
