The General Administration Department of the Government of Uttarakhand has officially announced the holiday calendar for the year 2026. These holidays will be observed by all Government Offices and Banks across the state.
Uttarakhand Public Holidays List 2026 for Government Offices
The holidays mentioned below in Annexure-1 are declared Public Holidays in the entire Uttarakhand state for the year 2026.

Government offices such as the Secretariat and Legislative Assembly, which operate on a 5-day workweek, will not observe the public holidays listed in Annexure-2 as regular holidays. Instead, these holidays will be considered restricted holidays, allowing employees to avail them within the limits set by the applicable policies and guidelines.
The Governor has declared the holidays listed in the following schedule as public holidays for the entire state of Uttarakhand in 2026.

Note:
- The festivals marked with an asterisk (*) will be celebrated as per the local moon sighting. - The public holidays declared in Annexure-1 will not be applicable to Banks, Treasuries, and Sub-Treasuries.
Uttarakhand Restricted Holidays List 2026 for Government Offices
Each government employee is entitled to avail up to two (2) Restricted Holidays from those listed in Annexure-3, based on their preference.
