The Government of Tripura has officially revised the minimum wages in the state, effective from 01 October 2024. The Labour Department of Tripura issued a notification on 07 December 2024, outlining the updated minimum wage rates for various scheduled employments in the region.
The Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been adjusted based on the average Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers for the period from 01 January 2024 to 30 June 2024, resulting in an average CPI increase of 168 points.

Note
For Shops & Establishments, Private Security Guards and Hotel and Restaurants –
- To calculate daily wage rates, the Total Minimum Monthly Wage shall be divided by 26 and rounded up to the nearest rupee.
- The overtime rate will be twice the regular hourly wage.
