  • Current or former elected public representatives (MPs, MLAs, or councillors).
  • Past or present permanent government employees at the central, state, or local levels.

The timing of fund disbursement is linked to the announcement of election dates. The Election Commission of India is expected to announce poll dates in January, and beneficiaries may receive at least one or two instalments before March 31, 2025.
