Minimum Wages in Tripura have been revised with effect from 1st April 2023 by the Government of Tripura. An official notification dated 16th June 2023 has been released by Ms. Anita Debbarma, Under Secretary to the Govt. of Tripura. Revised Minimum Wages for Shops And Establishments in Tripura April 2023

The Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been revised on the basis of 6 monthly average Consumer Price Index Numbers from 01-07-2022 to 31-12-2022. The average increased CPI Numbers is 121 points.

The revised minimum rates of wages in Tripura for different categories of workers engaged in the employment of “Shops and Establishments” with effect from 1st April 2023 will be as follows.

Semi-Skilled: Weight Man, Hawker, Porter.

Un-Skilled: Peon, Night Guard, Leader.

Revised Minimum Wages for Private Security Guard in Tripura April 2023

The Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for Private Security Guard has been revised on the basis of 6 monthly average Consumer Price Index Numbers from 01-07-2022 to 31-12-2022 which is increased by 121 points.

Revised Minimum Wages for Hotel and Restaurant in Tripura April 2023

The Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been revised on the basis of increased average Consumer Price Index (CPI) Numbers for the period of 6 months from 01-07-2022 to 31-12-2022. The average CPI Numbers increased by 121 points.

The revised minimum rates of wages for different categories of workers engaged in the employment of “Hotel and Restaurant” in Tripura with effect from 1st April 2023 will be as follows.

Note

For Shops & Establishments, Private Security Guards and Hotel and Restaurants –

  • To arrive at daily rates of wages the Total Minimum Rates of Wages (Per Month) shall be divided by 26 and rounded off to the next rupee.
  • The overtime rate shall be double the ordinary rate of wages.
