The minimum wages in Jharkhand have been updated, effective from 01 October 2023. Revised Minimum Wages in Jharkhand From 01 October 2023
The minimum wages in Jharkhand have been adjusted, effective from 01 October 2023, and will remain in force until 31 March 2024. The Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) has been raised for Unskilled, Semi-Skilled, Skilled, and Highly Skilled workers in 77 Scheduled Employments and in Government Offices, Undertakings, Boards, and Local Bodies in Jharkhand.
The VDA adjustments are determined based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The Governor of Jharkhand has specified the CPI number applicable to workers engaged in Scheduled Employments. Further details and calculations regarding the increased Consumer Price Index (CPI) are provided below.
