The Government of Meghalaya has announced the Holidays List 2023 for Meghalaya State.
An official Notification No GAA.85/2022/76 dated 15 November 2022 has been issued by the General Administration [A] Department, Meghalaya.
Meghalaya General Holidays List 2023
The General Holidays given below will be applicable to the offices under the Government of Meghalaya and all Revenue and Magisterial Courts in Meghalaya for the year 2023.

Meghalaya Local Holidays List 2023
The Deputy Commissioners are authorized to declare a maximum of 3 (three) days only as Local Holidays within their respective jurisdiction on the following occasions during the year 2023 except for East Khasi Hills District where State Government in GAD (A) will declare the Local Holidays.
- 53rd Garo Labour Corps Day
- Shad Suk Mynsiem
- Unitarian Anniversary Day
- Shad Nongkrem
- Any other Festival of Local Significance.
Meghalaya Special Holidays List 2023
Special Holiday has also been declared for all State Government Offices and all Revenue and Magisterial Courts and Educational Institutions in East Khasi Hills District, South West Khasi Hills District, West Khasi Hills District, East Jaintia Hills District, West Jaintia Hills District, Eastern West Khasi Hills District and Ribhoi District on the 22nd June 2023 to celebrate “Rev. Thomas Jones Day”.
