The minimum wages in Bihar have been revised for 77 scheduled employments, including Shops & Establishments, Hotels, Restaurants, Private Security Agencies, Handloom Industry, Private Hospitals, Handloom Industry, and more effective from April 1, 2025.
As per the gazette notification issued on March 28, 2025, this update includes an increase in the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), based on the Consumer Price Index numbers for the period from July to December 2024.
The revised wage rates will remain in effect from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.
