The Government of Tripura has revised the minimum wages in the state, which will be effective from 1st October 2025 to 31st March 2026. The Labour Department announced these updated wage rates through an official notification issued on 28th October 2025, covering various scheduled employments.
This update includes a revision of the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), which has been recalculated based on the average Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025. During this period, the CPI increased by 63 points, leading to the revised wage rates.

Note
For Shops & Establishments, Private Security Guards and Hotels and Restaurants –
- To calculate daily wage rates, the Total Minimum Monthly Wage shall be divided by 26 and rounded up to the nearest rupee.
- The overtime rate will be twice the regular hourly wage.
