Basic Information Section

Setting Up Employee Details

  1. Basic Salary: Enter the employee’s monthly basic salary amount
    • Must be a positive number
    • Required field
    • Excludes allowances
  2. Joining Date: Select the employee’s first day of work
    • Used for service period calculation
    • Affects gratuity eligibility
    • Must be before Last Working Date
  3. Last Working Date: Select the employee’s final day
    • Used for pro-rata salary calculation
    • Must be after Joining Date
  4. Unpaid Leaves: Enter number of unpaid leave days
    • Optional field
    • Deducted from final settlement

Pro Tip: Double-check all dates to ensure accurate service period calculation.

Managing Allowances

  1. Click “+ Add Allowance” button
  2. Enter allowance name (e.g., “House Rent Allowance”)
  3. Enter amount
  4. Use “×” button to remove if needed

Managing Deductions

Formula: (Basic Salary × Years of Service × 15) / 26

Pro-rata Salary

Calculated based on days worked in the final month

Formula: (Basic Salary / Days in Month) × Days Worked
